Hey! I’m Leah. I prefer burpees to running, I take bedtime very seriously, and I talk to my dog like he’s people.

I live in Minneapolis, MN. It’s a place where the cold air in the winter freezes my nose hair, but I deal with it because the summers are awesome, and also because my husband and dog seem to like it here and I like them a lot.

I grew up in Pittsburgh and can tap into that exquisite “yinzer” accent when necessary. (Hint: It’s probably never necessary.)

Between college and my move to Minneapolis, I was lucky to have had a fantastic musical theater career – I danced in countless ensembles, played Belle in Beauty and the Beast, and toured the country and Singapore with Rock Of Ages. I also lived in NYC, so I have a very aggressive walking pace, and the speed of the automatic doors here in Minneapolis just isn’t on my level.

I’ve been – at various points in my life – a barista, a nanny, a bank teller, a birthday party coordinator, a pre-school gymnastics coach, and a loan doc preparer at a title insurance company.

All of that might seem really random, but I believe my approach to training comes from the sheer breadth of my previous experiences. I truly believe that fitness is only one component of a full and healthy life, and I approach my training with that philosophy. Life is complicated and joyful and challenging and structured and chaotic and isolated and crowded and exhausting and exhilarating and… so much more.

My goal with every client is to create a program that works with and enhances their lives, knowing that it will look different for everyone. I get true joy from seeing people succeed at something they’ve been building toward, and I am always ready to celebrate the wins when they come – because they’ll come, trust me!

Sound like a fit?

“Leah is so patient. She makes sure I understand each exercise before I start. I have amazed myself with how far I have come in such a short amount of time.”
